AthleticLift publishes high-protein recipes, meal-prep strategies, and training guidance for the everyday athlete. This page explains how that content is made: who creates it, how recipes are tested, how we handle training and nutrition guidance, and how we stay independent. If you ever find something here that is wrong, we want to fix it.

Who Creates Our Content

AthleticLift was founded in 2018 by Tim Frechette and is led by him today. Our recipes, meal-prep guides, and training articles are created by Tim and a small team of contributors who cook, train, and write from real experience, not from a content farm. Every article is attributed to a named author.

How We Develop and Test Recipes

Recipes are developed and tested before we publish them. We cook the dish, confirm that the steps and quantities produce the result we describe, and write the method so it is repeatable in a normal home kitchen. The goal is food you can actually make on a busy week, not a recipe that only works in a studio.

Photography

The photographs on AthleticLift are real. We do not use AI-generated images to represent the food. Our photos are taken by a professional photographer and by our own team, so in every case you are looking at an actual plate of food, not a render.

Training and Nutrition Guidance

Our training and nutrition content is built on established principles and real coaching and training experience, and it is meant to help the everyday athlete make steady, repeatable progress. It is educational, not medical advice. For anything specific to your health, injuries, or medical conditions, talk to a qualified professional before acting on what you read here.

Accuracy and Corrections

We aim to be accurate and to say plainly when something is a matter of preference rather than fact. If we get something wrong, we correct it. To report an error, reach us through our Contact page and we will review it.

Editorial Independence

We do not accept payment to publish articles, take free products in exchange for coverage, or let any brand edit our content. If a sponsored arrangement ever appears on this site, it will be labeled as sponsored at the top of the piece, not buried in fine print. The opinions here are our own.

Ads and Affiliate Disclosure

AthleticLift is funded by display ads served through Mediavine and by affiliate commissions. We may earn a commission when you click an affiliate link and complete a purchase, paid by the retailer at no extra cost to you. See our Disclaimer for full details.
